About the Founder

Sage has been an assistant specializing specifically in Orthodontics for almost a decade. Starting at the age of 16, she was fortunate to take advantage of a local ROP Dental Assisting Program, which enabled her to start dental assisting straight out of high school. Since then she has trained many assistants and enjoys watching assistants flourish & become successful at what they do. About 1 year ago Sage was introduced to a new system in Orthodontics, and is now training assistants to work with lingual systems (behind teeth) in addition to traditional braces. She enjoys the challenge of new and innovative ideas and feels fortunate to have picked a field that is constantly evolving. Continuing education is extremely important to Sage, which is why she has acquired her RDA as well as her OA. While obtaining her OA, she realized the need for a program that truly helps the student excel in that specialty. This is why she decided to open the Southern California Orthodontic Assisting School.

The Southern California Orthodontic Assisting School was founded on the idea of providing relevant, quality education & skill training that the dental assistant can take advantage of every day in the field.
